In the first of many collaborations, we partnered with Ventouro, a truly epic small kiwi business that offers guided tours of some of the world's most beautiful destinations. Ventouro is owned and operated by former NZ Olympian and Commonwealth Games Cyclist Tim Gudsell, so we knew we were dealing with the best in the biz.

Our team consisted of some pretty rad cats from all walksof life; current Black Cap Lockie Ferguson, Former Winter Olympian Anna Willcox, and two super talented and current ilabb pro team riders Brooke Thompson and Harriet Beaven. Oh and least we forget, our "what could have been" former pro and current CEO Seadon Baker.

The crew all threw on some kit, grabbed a bike, filled up their rucksack and followed Tim on a truly epic adventure through the South Island's ranges and river beds. The team started out with a cruisy 15km ride along the Mavora lakes before making a turn past Mt. Nichols station and tackling the first incline for the day.

We were rewarded with one of the most spectacular panoramic views you will see (postcard-worthy but also probably no justice served) of Von Valley. After taking a quick 15 min breather/basking in the view we began the trek down to our campsite located at the Mavora Lake Campground, where Tim jumped behind the BBQ and served up a feast topped with a few cold ones from the chilly bin.

Day 2, saw the heavens open up and forced the team to layer up before embarking on the 60km journey into Mossburn. The rain was ever-present but certainly did not dampen any of the crews' spirits, if anything the laughter carried throughout as we rode past farmlands and took in what this beautiful country has to offer. Bringing us home was the fruitful Oreti River where we popped the lids on some cold beers, celebrating a wicked adventure with an epic crew of people.

We want to thank Tim and the team at Ventouro for sharing a little slice of kiwi magic with us!
